Golfweek Features Jerry Pate Design and Teeth of the Dog - Read More
Jerry Pate Design is proud to share that the restoration of Teeth of the Dog at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic has been recognized with two significant industry honors. The project was recently featured as the cover story of Golf Course Architecture magazine. Now, it has also been named Renovation of the Year by Golf Inc.

Originally designed by Pete Dye, the iconic course underwent a thoughtful restoration led by Jerry Pate and Steve Dana, focused on preserving its character while enhancing playability, agronomics, and long-term sustainability.
The project included reshaping all the bunkers, regrassing the course with salt-tolerant paspalum, restoring historic green contours and pin positions, and reinforcing coastal features to better withstand the elements, all while remaining true to Dye’s original vision and the course’s legendary seaside identity.

These recognitions reflect the collaborative effort behind the restoration and the continued legacy of one of the game’s most celebrated courses.
